Staff:

Hi!  This is Stephanie, owner and operator of A Dog’s Life Pet Sitting.  I began my business in 2005 and have enjoyed every minute of it.  Yes even the stinky parts J

When I was younger I wanted to be a veterinarian.  That is until I realized I would be dealing with some very sad aspects on a very frequent basis.  I discovered taking care of others pets’ in their homes is the next best thing.  I volunteer with the Kansas Humane Society, and also do transports for various other rescues.  Transporting is so important because sometime the local rescues are full and they just can't meet the demand of all the dogs/cats needing care.  By transporting I can get dogs to another rescue that has room for them.

My fur babies consist of 2 dogs and 1 cat.

Sebastian is a Great Pyrenees.  He was adopted from the humane society about 2 years ago.  He's as stubborn as they come, but at the same time as sweet as they come.  He received his Canine Good Citizenship award in September, and in November 2005 he passed his test to become a Therapy Dog!!

Next came Angel.  She is an Akita who is growing up very quickly.  At only 8 months she is 63 lbs.  We got her from a breeder,  The Kodiak Ranch, in Colorado and she is AKC Registered.  We have plans for her on the agility course!  That is if she gets past this stubborn phase.

Here are Boots and Curious, both cats we fostered for the Kansas Humane Society.  Did you know the humane society takes in around 3000 cats in the summer months??  If you are considering a new pet, please check them out!!

After fostering, we decided to adopt a kitty.  This is Cinnamon, also from KHS.

The summer of 2006 was so crazy that I decided I needed some part-time help.

Sarah P.: Sarah began helping out in August 2006.  She works full-time for a local shelter and enjoys spending her extra time pet sitting.  She also keeps her hands full by fostering.

Autumn L:  Autumn joined our team in May 2007.  She is finishing her Masters Degree and fills her spare time working with pets in whatever way she can.  She spends a lot of her time volunteering for the Rocky Mountain Great Dane Rescue out of Denver.  She does transports for them and occasionally fosters.  Of course sometimes Maggie gets jealous, so they don’t have fosters very often anymore.
